2. Preliminary Drawings
A design professional will produce the following preliminary drawings.
- Site study and plan
- Floor Plan
- Elevations
3. Building Code Review
Design professional will review governing codes to determine compliance requirements.
4. Utility Availability Confirmation
Determine location of existing utilities and obtain costs for connection or service extension.
5. Cost Estimate
Produce a cost estimate from the preliminary drawings.
- Defined scope of work—describe work not shown on preliminary drawings.
- Narrative specifications—provide detail on specific materials used.
- Initial project schedule—includes an estimate of time required to complete construction drawings, obtain building permit, and complete construction of facility.
